Cooperative Network Spotlight
We love to highlight members and community stakeholders in our Cooperative Network and showcase their great work across the community! This month, we highlight Talent Academy alum, Christopher Moffatt of Fathers Building Futures.
Christopher Moffatt, of Fathers Building Futures, is currently a student at New Mexico Highlands University, working on his LMSW. Over his time in the Talent Academy, Christopher built up his grant seeking skills, and earned his first grant award for $20,000: the Albuquerque Community Foundation’s Prospero Award. Christopher successfully completed the Talent Academy in March 2018 and continues to write for Fathers Building Futures for his practicum.
“I am continually impressed by the training provided by the Talent Academy,” says Emet Ma’ayan, Co-Founder of Fathers Building Futures and a big reason why Christopher joined the Talent Academy.
“Fundraising is all about relationships, no matter what. And the relationships we’ve developed here (at the Talent Academy) are absolutely incredible. This is a really, really effective program,” says Christopher.
The Talent Academy opens up its third cohort application on June 1, 2018.

- Access upcoming grant opportunities from our online calendar and research non-deadline driven opportunities. These are all screened for New Mexico eligibility, eliminating the work on your end.
- Access grant seeking resources that are all in one convenient site – federal budget forms, data research tools, best practice articles, and more.
- Connect and collaborate with other grant professionals in our community and share resources and knowledge. You can directly message other members or tag them on grant opportunities that you’d like to discuss. Ask questions about your grant proposals or processes and receive feedback from a larger grant seeking community!
