December 12, 11:30a-1:30p Brown Bag Luncheon: What We Learned at GPA
The Grant Plant experts, Aly Sanchez and Melissa Leonard will share their takeaways from the national Grant Professionals Association (GPA) conference in Chicago this past November.   GPA’s annual conference has gained a well-earned reputation as the most comprehensive educational and professional growth event available for those committed to excellence in the practice of grantsmanship. This will be the 20th year for the GPA Annual Conference.  Join us as we share what we learned from the conference and what that could mean for our communities!

Register for the event here: bit.ly/TGCDec2018BB and bring your lunch!  Members who need a code, please contact Robert Nelson.

December 14, 11:00-1:00p, Talent Academy Celebration!
We will celebrate our Talent Academy Fellows completing this four-month intensive program centered on high-impact grant seeking.  The first two cohorts of the Talent Academy, which represented 17 organizations based in central New Mexico, have raised approximately $6.7 million, which represents an application success rate of 69% to date. Approximately $5.5 million of the total awarded came from out of state funders — meaning new money coming into our state that sustains or creates jobs and services at these organizations.  This new cohort will continue the success of bringing more investment to New Mexico!  While this event is not open to the public, we encourage everyone in sending their congratulations through our social media on Facebook and Twitter!

December 19, 11a-11:45a Tour of Online Platform
A free webinar tour of our Online Platform for those who are thinking about joining or members who want to get the most out of their subscription.  Register here: bit.ly/TGCWebDec18

In November, we welcomed Curt Mearns of Pivot Evaluation to talk about evaluation in grant proposals.  We discussed the types of evaluation sections you might see in an RFP, and discuss what funders are looking for and what applicants need to consider when writing this section.
